How to install Steam skins and add themes
Where can the steam skins be found?
Before we start the installation guide, let’s check how to find skins for your client. Numerous websites are out there providing steam skins, but SteamSkins is among the most trusted and respected ones. You can download numerous skins on this website and you can even have your skin published by mailing them. We install Metro and the Air skin for Steam in this manual but you can download any skin that you enjoy. Let’s begin.
How to install skins on Steam
1st Step – Now that you have found your favorite skins, download the Metro and Air in this tutorial. It should be noted that if the skin is in a Zip / RAR file format, you will have to extract it first into a steam skins folder.
2nd Step- Answer to the question “where to put steam skins?”. Once the skins have been downloaded, paste them in the skins folder that will be present in Steam’s files for the program.
3rd Step- Open the steam client and go to Settings. Once you’ve opened the settings menu select the Interface tab in the left column.
4th Step- There you will see a choice which tells you to pick the skin you want to use. Click the down arrow and you will find your Skins installed. Choose your skin, and click OK. That’s all Steam is going to restart the client, and successfully apply your skin.
5th Final Step looks like this
Have fun choosing between the various options of skins. Besides Metro and Air, we recommend you also check out Nier Automata, Blue Steel, and PixelVision. Of course, if you go deeper, you can explore Steam not only as a skin marketplace but as a platform for trading or even pitching your own game. Hope this guide was helpful, make sure to share it with your mates! Peace out!
