Dota 2 News

We are all used to the reshuffles that take place every year, every season and almost after every damn major! But now a new trend has appeared ‒ creating new organizations by the efforts of the players themselves.

After KuroKy created his organization, taking the former Liquid team as the basis, the most famous player of Dota 2 Danil “Dendi” Ishutin decided to create his own. But initially, he didn’t have a roster, he had to do everything from scratch.

Dendi Introduces B8 Esports

Organization of Danil “Dendi” Ishutin B8 Esports announced a Dota 2 roster. In addition to Ishutin, it included Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk, Rinat “KingR” Abdullin, Nikola “LeBronDota” Popovich and Alexander “pio65” Zalivako.

Dendi introduced the new eSports organization on January 27th. Then he published a video in which he appeared in the image of an old man. In the story, Ishutin decided to return to the competitive scene after talking with his grandson.

The composition of the B8 Esports:

Alexander “pio65” Zalivako

Danil “Dendi” Ishutin

Andrey “Ghostik” Kadik

Rinat “KingR” Abdullin

Nicola “LeBronDota” Popovich

OG Time

OG did the impossible. They won 2 TI in a row and thereby went down in history as the strongest team of all. But apparently they got tired of this garbage.

Ana will miss 2019/2020 season of the Dota Pro Circuit

The Dota 2 OG roster will play in the Dota Pro Circuit 2019/2020 season without Anatan “ana” Pham. This was announced by management on Twitter.

The announcement specified that Pham remains in the team ‒ the Australian plans to return next season.

Last season, ana missed the first three Dota Pro Circuit tournaments. After returning, the team got into the top 6 at the MDL Disneyland® Paris Major and top 8 at the EPICENTER Major 2019, which allowed him to get an invite to The International 2019.

JerAx finished the career of a player in Dota 2

Support OG Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka finished the player’s career in Dota 2.

In total, JerAx earned more than $ 6.4 million during his career as a player, and after this, there is not much motivation to play. He is a millionaire, so why try so hard? Not the fact that they can win the 3rd int in a row, so you can leave at the peak of fame.

OG left the third player

Sebastian “Ceb” Debs left OG’s main lineup for Dota 2, Offlaner plans to stay in the club and help other players.

Ceb has been a member of OG since 2016, he was a coach in Dota 2 roster. He played in the player’s position since 2018. During that time he became the two-time champion of The International series of tournaments:

“I have to step back and leave the active roster. In OG, I will take on the role of assistant for teams and players. Whether it’s Dota or CS: GO, OG is the home of great champions. With new talents, I can use my experience even more effectively. I do not want this to sound like a final retirement, although it may very well turn out to be so. I love the surprises in life, so I will keep every door open,” said Sebastian “Ceb” Debs.

OG New Roster

OG has fully unveiled its new roster for the current season: after Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan, Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng, and Martin “Saksa” Sazdov joined the team. The player from Macedonia will play in the fourth position, and the Malaysian has got the role of an offline player. Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen will remain in mid-position, and SumaiL has become the new carry of the team.

MidOne represented Team Secret from August 2016 to November 2019. In the new season, he was replaced by Lasse Aukusti “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen.

Saksa spent the whole last season at Ninjas in Pajamas. With him, the team visited 3 minors and 4 majors and as a result finished last season in the top 12 of the DPC rating. The team took the last place on TI9, after which the Macedonian took a break from the competitive “Dota”.

Thus, only a couple of players remained from the OG champion roster: Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen and Johan “N0tail” Sundstein.

Current OG roster

Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan

Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen

Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng

Martin “Saksa” Saadov

Johan “N0tail” Sundstein

Virtus.pro

I don’t even know what to say, some kind of fucking drama. Transfers in the CIS are discussed to this day, and that’s what happened :

Captain of Team Na`VI left their roster and 4th position player Bakyt Emilzhanov “Zayac”. But it’s not so simple. He had a valid contract with Na`Vi and there was no transfer. Along with lawyers from Virtus Pro, he found a loophole in his contract, which allowed him to simply “leave”, and right before qualifications, the Na`Vi lost the captain and a very strong player and were left with nothing. They did not receive any money or compensation.

Also in Virtus.pro, “Cooman” Zaur Shikhmurzaev came to the role of Virtus.pro carry. So far, he is a stand-in player. He had already started playing for the Dendi team, he had a uniform and was paid the first salary and spent a media day. But at one point, he simply told Danil Ishutin that he was leaving the team at Virtus.pro and just left.

A similar situation occuredwith Danil “gpk” Skutin who is a Gambit player, but he had a strong contract, so the organization refused to transfer him anywhere, and I believe it was a fucking proper thing to do.

Esports, especially in the CIS, are more like a toy than a sport, therefore, such situations will be a lesson for all organizations and players to take Dota and other e-sports disciplines seriously.

Virtus.pro can open the second squad with epileptick1d and Save-

Virtus.pro may sign the second Dota 2 roster. Former members of the club’s main roster Vitaliy Save- Melnik and Yegor epileptick1d Grigorenko can join the team.

The roster can also include Dmitry DM Dorokhin and Albert yume Garaev.

Epileptick1d and Save- represented VP from October 2019 to February 2020 ‒ they were later replaced by Cooman and Zayac, and now Grigorenko and Melnik are playing with “Revenge” together with Garayev. GpK ~ and Satan on the second and third positions.

The possible second roster of Virtus.pro 2:

Egor “epileptick1d” Grigorenko

TBA

Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin

Vitaliy “Save-” Miller

Albert “yume” Garayev

There are many more teams in which changes have occurred but these are the most interesting for me. I don’t fuck which of them can reach heights, so it will be interesting and more fun to watch tournaments.

I can write about anything if I have enough time to google it. But boy, don't get me started on VR and stuff like that — you'll never shut me up ;)
