Don’t Lose Your Winnings – Learn English

A man won four million dollars in the lottery, but his acquaintances tricked him and took his money.

A resident of the American city of New Bedford lost a multimillion-dollar winning due to a lack of knowledge of English.

Joao Luis DaPonte sued his acquaintances, Maria Oliveira, and Susana Gaspar. According to the man, they took over his 4-millionth prize in the lottery.

The Portuguese allegedly bought a lottery ticket that hit a jackpot of $4 million. Due to a lack of knowledge of English, the man thought that he had won 4 thousand.

He asked Oliveira to get winning for him and promised her $200 for help.

DaPonte said that he received only 3.8 thousand dollars from a friend, and the woman kept the rest to herself. A man was told about fraud by his friend. Oliveira denies the truthfulness of the words of the man.
