Anyway, these morons are in danger as Cellmate chastity belts are hacked by digital blackmailers. Experts (OMG, there are experts in that crap!) have been warning owners about the vulnerability of the Qiui gadget since fall, as API was totally fragile. And now here we are: Cellmate users are under threat, as criminals block the belts and demand some ransom.
Not only can hackers remotely control the belt but also get full access to victims’ personal data including geolocation and passwords. By now all the holes in security must have been covered and the last version of the Cellmate application is considered to be relatively secure. But according to Bleeping Computer, not all the users have updated the app, so all the worst prognoses are eventually coming true.
It appeared that after the leakage of information about the Cellmate troubles hackers started attacking the Qiui Cellmate app users and blocking their devices. The price for unblocking was 0.02 BTC which comprises approximately 720 bucks now.
Apparently, criminals had the blackest sense of humor: they didn’t want just money, they also messed with victims. But can we blame them? It seems like guys who agree to give away control of their dicks to someone else want to be victims. So, after blocking the belt hoots called victims and told them that they cursed the gadget using black magic. No one agreed to pay them but at least they pulled pretty cool trolling.
By the way, guys, how much would you be scared and how much would you agree to pay to get your dick out of the trap?
