Reunion of Adidas with Nature: introduction of totally recyclable shoes

Sportswear giant Adidas slew the society with astonishing news: the company presented absolutely recyclable running shoes Futurecraft.Loop.

Eric Liedtke, an executive board member at Adidas claimed, that plastic crap should be excluded from the production to stop overwhelming oceans with thrown away items. The company hopes to create shoes, that can be worn again and again, eliminating fucking waste at all.

According to Adidas its Futurecraft. Loop is absolutely out of the box innovation, allowing to return the ragged running shoes to the store to create new ones.

More than ten years of research and development in collab with Asian, European and North American recycling companies have led to the hunky-dory result: refusing of complex materials and gluing.

After returning to Adidas, shoes are washed and melted to become raw material for the new pair of shoes. So who is the daddy of zero waste now? Right, it’s Adidas!

Chuffed Mr. Liedtke mentions, that they want to demonstrate responsibility according to the product’s entire life, creating a “closed loop” type of manufacturing without any fucking waste.

The first beta experiment with the Futurecraft.Loop shoes will be conducted by 200 people over the world, whose task will be to run in shoes, return them and share their experience after the usage of the second generation of the kicks. Adidas hopes to make the global release in the first half of 2021.

Paul Gaudio, one of the vice-presidents at Adidas says, that Futurecraft. Loop combines technologies, science, art and “badass”, breaking new grounds with revolutionary materials and helping athletes change the world they live in. Holy people!

Adidas launched its sustainability strategy together with Parley for the Oceans in 2015, presenting an idea about footwear made with ocean plastic waste and fishnets. Recently Adidas announced that it is going to present more than 10 million pairs of shoes made with recycled plastic from oceans and beaches. Moreover, the company promised to use only recycled polyester for its products. Hit the fucking road!
