Dubler Studio Kit is a new app that can turn your voice into a MIDI controller. Paired with a low-latency USB microphone, it makes a perfect tool for recording your songs, especially in a home studio.
So, back to music. Dubler Studio Kit was created by George Wright, founder and CEO of Vochlea Music. As he says, the application is aimed at those, who want to create their own music but don’t play any musical instruments. With a rather simple way to operate, Studio Kit is great to record and alter the music and makes its creation more accessible yet quality for anyone. So if one doesn’t have a music talent whatsoever, they still can try it. The program does almost everything.
The application is designed to enhance the ultimate musical instrument everybody has – the voice. As you sing, hum, clap or bitbox into the microphone, Dubler Studio Kit turns it into MIDI controllers. The program can be trained to recognize multiple sounds and vocal commands to alter the tune. The idea is simple – as the program gets the command and plays a corresponding music pattern, listening to the tempo, pitch, timbre and tune you suggest. With a wide range of possible triggers, you can be able to control multiple instruments at the same time, creating your own unique song. Feel like a Ceasar!
You can install Studio Kit app on your Mac or Windows computer, plug in a USB Dubler microphone and you are good to go. The kit is programmed in such a way that operating systems take it as a standard MIDI controller and it requires no additional setting, so you won’t fuck with it all day long. Most virtual instruments existing recognize and accept Dubler Studio Kit as a usual MIDI controller.
Tested by a couple of musicians, Dubler Studio Kit sounds like a shit awesome thing to have. If you are a music enthusiast and want to create your music – this is a tool for you. With an investment worth $250 you get an out-of-the-box home studio solution to play with.
