METALLICA Cancels Concerts at Sonic Temple and Louder Than Life Festivals

While everyone is running from the coronavirus and hiding in their houses, all restaurants go bankrupt, pharmacies become the most profitable business, we get the latest Metallica news ‒ the METALLICA frontman cancels his concerts due to the fight against alcoholism!

It seems that if the fucking world ends, people addicted to alcohol will still go for a beer in a local bar, even if it is closed. But James Hetfield, well, he isn’t like all these alcoholics. Metallica Frontman is trying to overcome his illness and it’s not that simple when you’re an addict.

The Metallica latest news again causes sadness, sorrow, and longing, especially for those who have already bought tickets for their concerts at the Sonic Temple and Louder Than Life festivals. James Hetfield canceled his concerts due to the fight against his alcohol addiction, and recall that the group was supposed to perform at two May festivals Sonic Temple and Louder Than Life as headliners. This is a great loss for fans…

James Hetfield: Demons of the Legendary Metallica Frontman

It looks like James does care about his life cause he is fighting the alcohol dependence, but somehow weakly. Back in 2003, fans learned the first time that the frontman of the cult group Metallica is actively being treated for alcoholism while the recording of the St. Anger album. James at that moment defeated addiction, but, as we see, only for a while. This is fucking sad. After all, we all believed that James has steel eggs. But everyone has their weaknesses, bad habits, wrong beliefs. Sometimes even the brightest thing in our lives does not save us from dark thoughts. Hetfield is doing well: he achieved the heights in his favorite music business, he has a wonderful family, a bunch of fans, but this was damn little to enjoy life and not suffer from bullshit. Alcohol is not the answer.

Now James claims to be close to victory in the fight against alcoholism. The main thing is the cancellation of two concerts at Sonic Temple and Louder Than Life because during the days of the festivals he will undergo a very serious rehabilitation. Events appointed after this event remains in force. If they are canceled, then the reaction of the fans is unlikely to be emphatic. I believe that James made the damn right choice! Otherwise, we might never get to his concerts again.

Sedative from Metallica

To calm his fans, James posted a note on social media to Metallica Family:

“It pains me to write this, but I have to let all of you know that I cannot make it to Sonic Temple in Columbus and Louder Than Life in Louisville this year. As part of my continuing effort to get and stay healthy, I have critical recovery events on those weekends that cannot be moved. I apologize to all of our fans who have bought tickets for these festivals. We are working with the festival promoters to provide for refunds or exchanges. My intent with this statement is saying “I apologize” to each one of you. The reality is that I have not prioritized my health in the past year of touring and I now know that my mental health comes first. That might sound like a no-brainer for most of you but I didn’t want to let the Metallica team/family down and, I alone completely compromised myself”.

James Hetfield also added that the rest of the announced concerts would take place. Yes, the Metallica latest news is not encouraging but we hope, bro, you still defeat all this shit and continue to delight us with your fucking great music tracks and the strongest vocals.

Information on the Sonic Temple and Louder Than Life Festivals

At Sonic Temple, the headliner will be the fucking cool band Red Hot Chili Peppers, but as for Louder Than Life, they still keep a fucking intrigue. Well, okay, eat your heart out and wait! Maybe the next latest Metallica news will be a rapid return of James Hetfield. Perhaps, in the end, James will say that at least at Louder Than Life he and his metal team will give an unexpected concert! Who knows.
