SAO PAULO (AFP) – Max Verstappen proved that he can become the champion of the future when he won for Red Bull in the Grand Prix of Brazil in Interlagos, November 17.
Max Versteppen has several times repelled the attack from six-time champion Lewis Hamilton, twice overtaking him after pit stops, and finished ahead of his former teammate Pierre Gasly from Toro Rosso.
22-year-old Versteppen said: “That was a lot of fun out there. It is great to win the race. We knew we had the speed all weekend so I was happy to get past this time.” “It was a lot of fun. It’s great to win the race. We knew that we had speed all weekend, so I was happy to pass this time. ”
Ferrari racers Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc collided and left the race due to punctures. This led to a dramatic and unpredictable end to intense racing.
Alexander Albon, a Thai rider who replaced the Frenchman Gasly in the middle of the Red Bull season, had been expected to come in second, but was in fact the 15th to arrive at the finish line. Despite colliding with him, Hamilton finished 3rd.
The fourth place was taken by Carlos Sainz, racing for McLaren, ahead of two Alfa Romeo racers Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi. Daniel Ricciardo for Renault, Lando Norris for McLaren, Sergio Perez for Racing Point, and Daniel Quat for Toro Rosso closed the top 10.
This was the eighths victory for Max Verstappen. It made up for his disappointment in last year’s Brazilian race, where he was expected to win up until a crash.
