Manchester United still interested in Leicester’s defender Harry Maguire

Manchester United continues its strategy of a vacuum cleaner for all the talented players. Harry isn’t an exception. After scoring in the first penalty in England’s Nations League shootout and winning over Switzerland, Harry became the new shiny toy United wants. 

Anyway, they obviously didn’t want him bad enough as United backed away from talks last summer as they felt the 26-year-old’s £70m price-tag was excessive. 70 million for a player, jeez, still can’t cope with the fact that football business is doing money literally by selling people. 

But the Foxes don’t give much fuck about that, because the defender signed a five-year contract last September and manager Brendan Rodgers made it clear at the end of the season he feels Maguire can develop even more if he remains at the club. 

Yet Maguire isn’t the only player United want in the team. Solskjaer also retains an interest in Crystal Palace’s England Under-21 full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 21-year-old was named Palace’s player of the year this season, the first full campaign of his senior career.

United would have to pay a fee well in excess of £40m if they were to try to push forward with a deal for the youngster.
