Twitter users can sign up and log in via a Google account or Apple ID

The process of logging in and signing up will be much easier on Twitter. For this, the new users will be able to use their Google accounts on the app or web and Apple ID on iOS and soon on the web. The existing users will have to check whether their email address on Twitter coincides with the email on Apple ID or Google account.

The new opportunity was announced on August 2 on the Twitter Support page. The site made it clear that they wanted to make the process of signing in easier without the need to memorize any additional passwords. There will be no necessity for entering an email address, password, name, and user handle. Every new user will be suggested user handle automatically. They will only need to choose a language and synchronize the contacts on their phones. Google ID profile pictures will be updated automatically as well on the Twitter handle.

The users have the possibility to disconnect their Apple or Google accounts, but now it is available only on the web.
