The International 2019 Ticket Sales

The International is approaching and the situation is heating up! With a couple of tournaments left, the fans are going bananas rooting for their teams (if they are still in the game). And now, there is another reason to go wild and jump out of your shoes: Valve announced The International 2019 Ticket Sales!

Bad news for all the fellas in America and Canada who got used to having TI right next to them — this year the biggest and most exciting tournament is going to be held in China. No wonder, taking into account how popular Dota 2 is in the country. Just consider this: China is a separate region in the Dota community. Like we have Europe, North America, and bam! China. So, again, no wonder.

The event is to be at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China on Tuesday, August 20th through Sunday, August 25th. Plenty of time to enjoy game, rage, tears of anger and butthurting. Mmm, what a wonderful atmosphere.

The tickets (for those who want to see TI live despite having to go to the other side of the world). The tickets are going to be available starting Friday, May 24th. They will be sold in two-day bundles: the weekday bundle will cost CNY 499 (CNY is Chinese money, just in case), which is about 70 in American money, you’re welcome; and the weekend bundle for the price of CNY 2099 which makes about 300 US dollars.

Good news, everyone! Everyone, who has Battle Pass and the Dota Plus membership, will receive early access to get their hands on tickets. The lucky bastards will get an access code in the Dota 2 Client. The Dota Plus membership counts if you had one active on the time the sale was announced which is 6:00 AM on Tuesday, May 21st China Standard Time. Yes, everything in the announcement is in Chinese money and Chinese time.

Chinese fans will be able to buy their tickets via Damai. The starting point is 12:00 pm China Standard Time on May 24th. From 12 pm to 1 pm, one will need an access code to buy a ticket. Starting 1:15 pm the sale will be accessible to everyone. If you are going to use Damai, you will need a national Chinese citizen ID.

Outside China tickets can be bought via Universe starting at 9:00 pm China Standard Time on May 24th. Early access, where you need the code, goes from 9:00 to 10:00 PM. All customers will get a chance to grab a ticket starting at 10:00 pm.

If you have a question, there is a Ticketing FAQ where you can gain some wisdom.
If the gained wisdom is not enough to cope with all the Chinese time, here is a time zone converter that can come in handy.
