A court in California ordered Girls Do Porn Studios in San Diego to pay about fucking $ 12.7 million to 22 Americans who were tricked and threatened into acting in porn films.
The court decision said that women should receive compensation in the amount of 297 thousand to 547 thousand dollars. Seven women will receive maximum compensation.

The company promised that films with their participation would not be shown on the Internet, but would be distributed on DVD among collectors living in other countries. Women were also told that their identities would not be revealed. In fact, the studio distributed the films made through the largest porn sites Pornhub and YouPorn. According to the court, Girls Do Porn participated in the disclosure of the real names of women, for example, published links to their accounts on social networks.
Following the publication of films, women were harassed. The videos were sent to their parents, brothers, sisters, boyfriends, coaches, and priests. Because of the incident, women were forced to leave for other regions of the United States and change their names. Girls Do Porn officials said in court that women knew they would be making adult films and signed contracts to distribute videos. The court rejected these allegations, noting that women were not given time to read the contracts. The judge considered these contracts to be invalid.
Lawyer Edward Chapin who represented 22 women in court said his clients were pleased with the outcome of the trial. “They are glad not to get 12.7 million dollars. What pleases them is that the court defended them, recognized their demands and their stories. And finally, they feel that someone heard them because they were ashamed, they were ridiculed and persecuted,” said the lawyer.
According to the court’s decision, Girls Do Porn studio should return to the plaintiffs all the photos and videos with their participation, as well as the copyright to these materials. Most of the films are still available on the Internet, but Pornhub in October 2019 announced that it had deleted the videos.
The FBI has been conducting its own investigation into the Girls Do Porn studio. In October 2019, the 37-year-old co-owner of the company Matthew Isaac Wolf and the 31-year-old porn actor Ruben Andre Garcia were arrested. They were accused of human trafficking. Another co-owner of the company, 37-year-old Michael James Pratt, left the United States. All defendants face life sentences.
