The game will be released as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere (after the purchase, you can play on both Xbox One and Windows 10 at no extra cost). 3. Gods & Monsters

It is an action-packed adventure video game. The player needs to rescue the ancient Greek gods and fight with Typhon, the deadly leader of the monsters, bringing death to all living things. It is necessary to explore the world, overcome difficult quests and receive rewards. The player will explore the world, fight mythological creatures, solve secrets and defeat Typhon in the final battle. In the local dungeons, many treasures are hidden and guarded by the monsters. The hero needs to use his blade and other weapons to defeat the enemy and get a reward.

The video game has an ancient Greek surrounding, with an emphasis on mythology. The main action takes place on the island of Blessed. The game world is full of mythological accents and features characteristic of the nature of Greece.

4. Final Fantasy VII Remake

Four years ago, Sony announced that it was working on a remake of Final Fantasy VII. And on E3 2019, developers from Square Enix announced the release date: the game will be released on March 3, 2020, only on PS4. As in the original, the game takes place in a setting where science fiction and cyberpunk coexist with elements of fantasy. A group of noble terrorists confronts the demonic megacorporation of Shin-Ra, which in fact rules the planet. The headquarters of the corporation is located in the city of Midgar on the eastern mainland of the fictional world – this is where the first part of the game unfolds. The new Final Fantasy VII will be released in parts, and in the spring we will see only the first chapter – it will occupy two Blu-ray discs and will be entirely devoted to events in Midgar.

The original was released in 1997, so there is no need to talk about the impressive difference between the old picture and the graphics of the remake. However, the remaster will give users not only modern graphics: over twenty years, many elements of the game have become outdated, so the creative team completely redesigned the gameplay, and also expanded and deepened the plot. At the same time, connoisseurs of antiquity should not sound the alarm, the number of developers included the director, screenwriter, character designer, and composer of an old version, so the spirit of the game, in spite of all the improvements, should not be harmed.

5. Watch Dogs Legion

Screenshots and posters of Watch Dogs Legion, the third part of the franchise developed by Ubisoft Toronto, appeared on the network: this is the second major project of the studio, which debuted with Splinter Cell Blacklist in 2013. A key feature of the Legion will be the ability to recruit the inhabitants of London (for this you need to perform a special task) in the DedSec group so that you can play for any of them later. 7. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

The original, which was released back in 2004, although it was somewhat unfinished, was still remembered by the public for years as a study of the world, good dialogs, and a truly non-linear plot. After almost 15 years there wasn’t much hope for the sequel, but it has appeared – and, it seems, fell into good hands.

The beginning of Bloodlines 2 evokes in memory the first part: the hero is again turned into a vampire against his will and thrown into the expanses of Seattle, where he will survive in the company of his own kind. However, this time they turned not only the protagonist but also a whole crowd of random characters, many of whom did not even understand what happened to them. In the eyes of the other bloodsuckers, who for centuries have hidden their existence from mortals, this incident is a real terrorist attack.

But at the very beginning of the game, even as a vampire, a weak-blooded, you feel like a night predator. Now the character can jump to great heights, climb high ledges, and, depending on the chosen disciplines, master telekinesis, summon flocks of bats or turn into fog. In a word, even the most mediocre vampire is still an inhumanly powerful otherworld creature. But power, as before, does not in any way cancel the Masquerade rules: you cannot drink blood in broad daylight on a crowded street or kill mortals just for fun.

So far, Bloodlines 2 seems like a classic role-playing game for those who in the RPG appreciate primarily non-linearity, dialogue, and atmosphere. It is still not clear how well the developers will cope with all the mechanics and nuances that did not function well in the original, but if Hardsuit Labs keep the current quality level, the game will surely succeed.

8. SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated

9. System Shock

System Shock is a remake of the original System Shock game released by Looking Glass Studios in 1994. Initially, the authors planned updates to the core of the game (crafting weapons, new mini-games, puzzles, a role-playing system of levels), orchestral accompaniment, additional scripts for the plot, remix of the soundtrack. But at the beginning of 2018, the developers realized that they deviated too much from the concept, after which they decided to return to the original idea – the literal transposition of the classics with visual corrections due to the general direction of the style.

The player will face himself as a hacker in the future, who falls into the trap of the space station Citadel, where the character SHODAN (Sentient Hyper-Optimized Data Access Network), a smart hyper-optimized data access network, again prepares a plan to eliminate humanity and challenges the player.

The game is still far from the final stage of development, so it’s difficult to talk about the features of the gameplay. It is known that developers are currently testing a technology that allows you to freeze rivals and smash or tear them. The new version should get modern graphics, new dialogs, vivid visual effects. The player will get access to all locations immediately after completing the starting part.

10. Hindsight 20/20

11. Rainbow Six Quarantine

Rainbow Six Quarantine is a cooperative tactical shooter that can be played both alone and in the company of three players. TRIALS of MANA is a full HD remake of the third game in the Mana series, which was released in Japan with the name Seiken Densetsu 3. The game is completely redesigned and now boasts modern 3D graphics.

In the game, the main characters have to face the Benevodons – monsters of destruction who were freed from capturing the forces of evil and save the magical kingdom from imminent catastrophe. We are waiting for a completely redesigned gameplay and modern graphic accompaniment.

The release of TRIALS of MANA will take place only in the coming spring – April 24, 2020. The novelty will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

13. The Last of Us Part II

As in the case with the first part, the plot of The Last of Us Part II is the main feature of the game, for this reason, we know a little about it because the developers give out the details in small portions so as not to spoil too much.

The action of the second part begins in the city of Jackson and this time, the already matured Ellie will act as the main character, but this does not mean that Joel will not be present. As we have already seen, he will be as a secondary character and perhaps even at a certain point will be our companion on the trip.

The gameplay is much more familiar since it has not changed much compared to the previous part, the game can still be briefly described as an action-adventure with elements of survival and horror.

The main differences from the first part are tied precisely to the main character (at least so many sources explain this), Ellie herself is more dexterous and agile, which is reflected in the gameplay.

The battles are turn-based and similar to the battles of XCOM, but some innovations, for example, executions, distinguish from the XCOM Empire of Sin. Once your organization has gained strength, it will be possible to extend its influence to the lands of competing gangs.

24. Call of Duty: Black Ops 5

Call of Duty: Black Ops 5 will be the first part of the franchise from 2014, the development of which will ultimately take two years, not three. All this time, the Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software studios worked on the creation of the new part of the shooter. Now, the project will be finalized by Treyarch.

Most likely, the changes are due to poor working relations between the employees of Sledgehammer and Raven, who for a long time could not find a common language and constantly argued about the main features of the game. The second reason was the departure of Sledgehammer co-founders Michael Condry and Glen Scofield. The first one founded his own studio, where the main developers of Sledgehammer moved.

The remote studios were about to tell a story about the times of the Cold War between the USSR and the USA, where there were missions in Vietnam. Treyarch picks up their idea, but with some changes, the details of which are not reported.

It is also known that Sledgehammer and Raven did not completely block the development of the new game. Studios will help Treyarch, but no more.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 5 should be released in the fall of 2020 on the PC, as well as the consoles of this and the new generation.

 This is a remake of the game of the same name in 2005, in which players play the role of an alien named Crypto. In the remake developers completely changed graphics and interface, as well as a mission cut out of the original game in “Zone 42”. Also, the remake will be the first game in the Destroy All Humans series, which was released on PC.

28. Psychonauts 2

The Skywalker Saga is not a trivial collection of previous Star Wars LEGO games. Each episode is recreated anew. For example, Phantom Menace now begins with an underwater pursuit of Naboo. 31. Persona 5 Royal

Atlus Studio completed work on the “royal” edition of the role-playing game Persona 5 and held a Royal Experience event dedicated to the sensational project. By tradition, it was half a concert: Lin in the process sang a whole series of new and old songs from the game.

The developers have prepared a new trailer for Persona 5 The Royal, where they showed fragments of a new plot story. As in Persona 4, The Golden, alternative endings have been prepared for Persona 5 veterans. Those who wish can disrupt the usual course of events – in particular, this concerns the fate of Goro Akechi. In the third semester, heroes can continue to communicate with a charismatic detective, and his dark form will be a good help in the dungeons.

The authors recalled the innovations that are waiting in Mementos: a boy named José collects underground stones, flowers, and stamps, and for them presents ghostly thieves with accessories and skills. Its appearance is accidental, but on the map, it can be seen immediately after the floor change.

During the show, they also showed a “personal” trailer dedicated to the protagonist. It proved that participation in dance spin-offs and other crossovers benefited the Joker. And the twins from the Velvet Room found a new way to mock the prisoner: fitness.

32. Ghost of Tsushima

At E3 2018, Sucker Punch, responsible for the Sly Cooper and InFamous trilogies, finally showed the game that has teased us for the past two years – Ghost of Tsushima. The developers have literally shared a fraction of the gameplay, but it turned out to be enough to talk about the project with a vengeance.

Ghost of Tsushima, like the InFamous series of projects, is an open-world sandbox. Only without electric hooligans, mutants and teenage enthusiasm – they were replaced by vicious, amazingly gloomy realism. The game takes place on the Japanese island of Tsushima, which in 1274 fell under the invasion of the Mongol hordes led by Kublai Khan, the grandson of Genghis Khan. The protagonist is the samurai Jin Sakai, one of the last surviving inhabitants of Tsushima. A whole guerrilla war fell on his shoulders, which, moreover, was to be fought alone.

33. Dragon Age 4

As expected, BioWare at The Game Awards introduced the new Dragon Age.

Moreover, the company did not give it any name, only hinting at the continuation of the story of Solas from the Inquisition and introducing the hashtag The Dread Wolf Rises.

According to the assurances of the company’s senior producer Mark Darra, for Dragon Age 4, a completely new team of franchise veterans who also worked on the Jade Empire and even on Baldur’s Gate was assembled in the studio.

The creative director of the project was Matthew Goldman, who has been working in BioWare since 1998 and managed to put his hand to the entire Dragon Age trilogy, as well as to MDK2 and Baldur’s Gate 2. It follows from his words that at the moment it was the new Dragon Age that became the most ambitious project of the company.

The release is expected no earlier than the fall of 2021.

34. Beyond Good & Evil 2

Beyond Good & Evil, 2 is a computer game in the genre of action-adventure, which is a prequel to the 2003 Beyond Good & Evil game. The game is being developed by a team led by Michel Ancel. The plot of the game tells about corporate programs for crossing people and animals to quickly conquer space, as well as about what consequences this program ultimately led to.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 is an adventure role-playing action, so first in the editor, we will create ourselves – a clone. Each resident of the system comes from the DNA of the first colonists: you are free to choose the gender of the character, race, customize the appearance, dress up the hero and decorate with tattoos to taste. At the same time, every clone has a set goal and position in society: for example, monkey-like creatures are excellent miners, but some of them manage to escape and manage their own destiny.

The easiest way to start life from scratch in System-3 is to become a pirate: in their community, people and hybrids live together and fight against slavery. The created hero will become a de facto rebel.

35. Elden Ring

From the cinematic trailer for Elden Ring, a joint game from FromSoftware and George Martin, we learned very little, but thanks to a short interview on the Xbox website, something became clearer.

First of all, this is a dark third-person role-playing action, which is closer in spirit to Dark Souls due to not only high complexity, the ability to customize the character’s appearance, as well as role-playing elements, but also the ability to approach the passage in completely different ways.

Moreover, Hidetaka Miyazaki promises that the variability will be wider than in any of the Dark Souls.

Elden Ring development began shortly after completing work on add-ons for Dark Souls III, that is, about two years ago – at the beginning of 2017.

George Martin was invited to collaborate due to the fact that Miyazaki is a huge fan of his work. The Japanese did not expect the writer to agree but still decided to try his luck. Martin not only agreed but also actively discussed many aspects of the game.

The main work of the author of “Songs of Ice and Fire” was to write the mythology of the world in Elden Ring.

36. Microsoft Flight Simulator

During the E3 2019 exhibition, Xbox announced the new chapter of its famous flight simulator. And now on the official website published new information about the future Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Fans of the series were reassured: the game will remain a simulator. There is no talk of simplifying the mechanics or lowering the level of realism.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is created primarily for PC. However, the Xbox One version will be properly optimized. And no one should have problems with control: of course, support for specialized joysticks and pedals will not go anywhere. But playing with a mouse and keyboard or gamepad will be a little more difficult.

The game wants to provide long years of life. Therefore, as before, Microsoft Flight Simulator will support custom modifications. In addition, other studios and companies will be able to release their own paid add-ons for the game.

Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released next year on PC and Xbox One. The game will be available to subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass service. 

37. Oddworld: Soulstorm

The developers of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty suddenly announced on Twitter a sequel called Oddworld: Soulstorm, accompanying the announcement with a teaser image.

Soulstorm should become much darker and more sinister. Abe and his 300 brothers end up in the desert without food, water, or shelter. They find solace in the new drink, which leads to unexpected consequences for their newfound freedom.

According to the developers, Soulstorm prepares Abe for difficult trials.

38. Super Meat Boy Forever

After the first part was released, nearly eight years passed, so we were waiting for the sequel. It will be possible to play it on all relevant platforms, including iOS and Android, already in April 2019, and only the Steam release, according to the developers’ site, has been delayed until 2020. And the most interesting thing is that the last word in the name of Super Meat Boy Forever appeared for a reason: the developers promise that with each passing the game levels will become more complicated – and it’s endless! Isn’t it cute?

40. Stranger Things

It is a two-dimensional isometric pixel action movie. Characters familiar from the series and the Duffer brothers themselves act in it. In the story, someone is stopping the filmmakers from filming the new season of the series, and they, of course, turn to the police chief Hopper.

41. Haven

In February, the independent French studio The Game Bakers announced an adventure with elements of the role-playing game Haven. Now, they told a little more about the future game, accompanying the story with the first trailer of the gameplay.

On the previous studio project, Furi’s hardcore action movie, Haven will only be like using surrealism. The plot of the role-playing adventure is Yu and Kay, two lovers who flee from the hardships of life in the society of the future to a lost planet. The main focus will be on world exploration and the development of relations between heroes.

At its core, Haven is a single-player game, we can simultaneously control both characters. This is especially clearly seen in battles. The combat system allows the use of tactics and timing to conduct chains of attacks. But if the second hero desires, he can take control of a “special” friend who has joined over the local network.

On PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC, the game will be released in 2020.

42. No More Heroes 3

Travis Touchdown returns to Santa Destroy after a decade of absence. He sees a huge artificial metropolis island and a mysterious object hovering above it. What crazy assassins will Travis run into this time ?!

No More Heroes 3 is the third part of an adventure series that takes place two years after Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. Players are waiting for the return to Santa Destroy, which was attacked by aliens. Travis Touchdown, the protagonist of the series, has to deal with this.

43. Tales of Arise

Tales of Arise is a new part of the Japanese role-playing series Tales of. This part of the series is again separate from all the rest. Its plot tells of two planets, Dan and Rina. The inhabitants of Rina captured Dana, and for almost three hundred years they robbed it, capturing natural resources and people. The protagonists of Tales of Arise are the inhabitants of both planets, on whose behalf the story of a new round of conflict is told.

In the new part of the series, the authors changed the engine to Unreal Engine 4, which allowed to significantly improve the quality of graphics and animation.

44. Lords of the Fallen 2

New York-based Defiant Studios, developing Lords of the Fallen 2, will not rely on the creation of the previous team working on the game.

They have a new engine – Unreal 4 – and a new team. A team that does not have much experience in RPG development, but they ensure that it is their strength.

Defiant Studios was founded by people who previously worked on Just Cause 3. The developers are confident that they will be able to bring something new to the genre, which they themselves call the “death simulator”, and especially emphasize that despite the small size of the team, they intend to achieve the best game quality.

Earlier, the head of the development of the first Lords of the Fallen, Tomasz Gop, accused the management of CI Games of sabotaging the second part. A whole year passed between Gop’s departure and the appointment of Defiant Games as the new developer.

45. Spiritfarer

Spiritfarer is a cozy death game. Players play the role of Stella, the carrier of the souls of the dead. To carry out their work, players have to build their own boat, explore the world on it and communicate with the souls of the dead until they find peace in life after death. Players can also engage in farming, fishing, mining, crafting and creating things necessary in the world of the dead. In cooperative mode, the second player will be able to take on the role of the cat Narcissus, which helps the heroine.

46. Way to the Woods

In Way to the Woods, you have to learn the story of two deer and the post-apocalyptic world. Young animals are trying to find their way home and players need to help them with this. Own horns will serve you as a weapon, and a mystical divine cat will come to the rescue. You have to defend yourself from the unfriendly inhabitants of the world, seek yourself food and shelter.

47. Skull and Bones

Skull and Bones is a marine multiplayer pirate game where players are invited to become captains of ships and challenge each other for dominance at sea. The game offers several different competitive modes, different classes of ships, pumping captains and much more.

In Skull and Bones, players must go a long way from a simple pirate to an invincible armada commander, capturing enemy ships and improving theirs in every way. The gameplay itself resembles naval battles from the Assassin’s Creed series, however, with various reservations.

48. CrossfireX

Microsoft at the presentation of the E3 2019 showed the first CrossfireX trailer. Apparently, this is an adaptation of a popular shooter in Asia called Crossfire from the South Korean studio Smilegate Entertainment. Now it finally gets to the western gamers, and also for the first time in series it will be released on the Xbox One!

The original (and free to everything else) Crossfire, released in 2007, now has more than 650 million registered users, 8 of which are constantly online.

A CrossfireX release will take place in 2020, but the exact release date is not yet available.

49. Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is the second part of the Mount and Blade series, which offers the player a power struggle in a brutal medieval open world. Players are waiting for large-scale battles, which have added to the entertainment brutality. The game was announced back in 2012, but very quickly turned into a long-term construction and failed in a “production hell”.

The game takes place 200 years before Mount & Blade: Warband. Players are waiting for the period of the fall of the Calradian Empire and the formation of independent kingdoms that appear in previous games. In other words, the authors took the story of the fall of Ancient Rome and adapted it to the world of their game. After the death of the emperor of Calradia, battles broke out throughout the country – the players are assigned the role of one of the soldiers on this battlefield, which can both help restore the empire or completely destroy it.

50. Doom Eternal

Doom Eternal is the continuation of the restart of Doom 2016 release. The events of the game are transferred from Mars to Earth, which suffered from the invasion of demons of unprecedented proportions. In the role of the Executioner of Rock, players have to free the Earth and destroy as many spawns as possible. In addition to the Earth, Dumgai will also look at the base of people on Phobos, and also, of course, will visit Hell again.

The executioner’s arsenal was replenished with several new types of weapons, as well as special shoulder weapons for armor and a blade fixed to the hand. Also, an energy sword, the ability to “strafe”, a cat hook and much more finally fell into his hands. All this is designed to help the Executioner of Rock navigate locations that have become even larger and more confusing.

For fans of non-standard gaming solutions, Doom Eternal has the opportunity to “invade” the worlds of other players in the guise of unique demons.
