Grinch’s dream in front of Rockefeller Center

There’s no doubt 2020 was one big pile of crap on an even bigger pile of crap. And the Christmas tree which has been recently raised in front of Manhattan plaza and the year coming to an end is just a marriage made in heaven!

As usual, this tree will flare up with thousands of lights on December 2 but with no gazers as the covid-19 threat isn’t going anywhere. Twitter users went totally nuts when the first photos of the Rockefeller tree hit social media.

Rockefeller

It’s not that easy to describe the poor thing, at the very least it looks kinda pelted. Like, heavily pelted! Seems like the guys in Oregon totally forgot about the agreement to deliver a tree. And they found this clumsy frayed as their best shot.

Video of this spruce being installed vent viral and was viewed over 5 million times. Check it out and imagine Charlie Brown’s Christmas theme playing — and now you have a vivid mood and spirit of the place.

Twitter users share ideas on how to decorate this misery: put a sign “Christmas-2020” and leave it like that, put on a huge face mask and place a barrel of hand sanitizer under the tree.

If it makes you feel any better, the Rockefeller tree is not alone in its misery. Christmas trees all over the world from Viena and Rome to Cincinnati look like they were dragged on the rocky road all the way to the place of destination.

Some New Yorkers say that this odd tree is a perfect match for the city and fully reflects the current condition of Big Apple.
